It has been almost a month since my last post. Things got a little busy. For observant types I have changed the "About" section of the blog from "Soon to be dad" to read "Dad."
Theodore Sebastien Hodo was born April 29th at 18:34 at Swedish Ballard. Things were a little complicated at first but now everyone is doing quite well. There's more to the story but I will save this for a future blog post.
The last few weeks I have been on paternity leave as we transition to our new life as a family. Originally, I planned on learning more about data structures and algorithms during this time to fill in some of the gaps in my computer science knowledge (as well as blogging daily). And, of course, as any new parent knows, it didn't quite work out that way.
Also, like most new parents, I can't resist sharing some photos of our new addition.

Theodore's reaction to Sounders FC scoring on Saturday, May 20.

Theodore mid-yawn. But it looks like he's letting out a roar.

Sleeping Theodore. This is his state most of the time.
A quick thank you to Swedish Medical Center Ballard and First Hill. Their care for our family was amazing and will forever be grateful. Thanks to my employer, Avanade, and my colleagues who were very understanding, accommodating and compassionate. Lastly, thanks to our insurance provider Premera. Their staff was very helpful whenever we had a question and I'm grateful they are with us on this journey.
I plan on getting back into the normal flow tomorrow where we'll expand on the Azure Functions tutorials. There are some exciting events that came out of build so look for that.
Until tomorrow... Be excellent.
