I’m Keith — a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, dad, and occasional gamer based in the Pacific Northwest.
By day, I’m a Deloitte-dedicated technical resource covering Telco, Media & Entertainment, Gaming & Sports, and Life Sciences in the US. I also work across all verticals on Security, Builder Tools & Experience (Next-Generation Developer Experience), and Generative AI. I recommend solutions, review technical architectures, conduct pricing reviews, and help Deloitte practitioners build and scale on AWS.
What I’m most excited about right now is agentic AI — and I’m not just advising on it, I’m building with it. I’ve built my own AI-powered productivity system using Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) that handles workflows I used to do manually: cost modeling, technical analysis, session management, and content generation. It’s a proving ground for the same patterns I recommend to Deloitte and their customers. The best architects are the ones who build.
Before AWS, I spent over a decade in the Microsoft/.NET ecosystem as a software engineer and consultant — shipping production code, working inside client organizations, and understanding the consulting business model from the inside. I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the table.
I also host technical education content on Twitch and LinkedIn Live in partnership with AWS Training & Certification. My series on Amazon Nova, Cloud Essentials, and AWS Certification prep have reached 82,000+ learners. I love translating complex technical concepts into something accessible — whether that’s a live stream, a white-paper, or a 30-minute architecture review.
Beyond my core role, I mentor early-career and tenured architects, participate in a technical field community focused on next-generation developer tools, and have conducted 15+ candidate conversations to help people understand what it’s really like to work at AWS.
This blog started in 2017 as a way to document what I was learning about Azure Functions, algorithms, and cloud architecture. Life got busy (Theodore arrived!), but the itch to write never fully went away. When I’m not coding, you’ll find me on the soccer pitch or gaming with the Cascadian Gamers crew for Extra Life.
